Pat possesses the rare combination of business leadership, design practice and construction experience that enables him to lead the Hurst design team in providing home solutions for our clients. As Chief Designer for Hurst, Pat has an amazing foresight for seeing a home’s unique potential, and blends that potential with the needs of the client. His designs have won numerous awards and are on the cutting-edge of style and function.

Pat is also very active in giving back to the community. He is the current president of the Professional Remodelers of Ohio (PRO) and sits on the board of directors for the Better Business Bureau. He also serves as the chairman of the PRO Community Outreach Program, a volunteer committee dedicated to improving the lives of the needy through home repairs and updates. Pat enjoys golfing, camping, attending his children’s sporting events and spending quality time with his family.

Dan is passionate about continuously improving the remodeling experience for Hurst’s clients. To that end, he uses his years of carpentry experience as well as his organizational and team building skills to create processes at Hurst that produce the highest quality results. As Production Manager, Dan works closely with the design team to ensure a smooth transition into the construction stage. In addition, Dan oversees all the lead carpenters in the coordination and execution of their responsibilities and his attention to detail provides every customer with a first-class remodeling experience. His pastimes include golfing, movies, Ohio State Football, good food and an occasional camping or fishing trip.

Carmen has more than 12 years of experience providing administrative support in the architectural, interior design and construction fields. She will most likely be the first person you speak with when contacting the office. Carmen clearly communicates to clients what they can expect as they embark upon a remodeling project with Hurst. As administrative assistant, Carmen keeps the office operation running smoothly while providing support and assistance to the owners and design team. In her spare time, Carmen enjoys reading, baking and cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Bridget is a multi-award winning designer. A graduate from Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, her cutting-edge sense of style and love for the home transcends time and genres. As a designer, Bridget uses her talents and creativity to provide functional home solutions that are both unique and beautiful. She creates amazing, true-to-life 3-D renderings that help our clients visualize their remodeled home, while providing product selection options that meet both need and style. She also produces accurate construction drawings and specifications that aid in creating a smooth transition to the production team.

Tamara uses the writing skills gained by earning an M.A. in English from Kent State University, as well as her years of experience in client relations and marketing, to share Hurst’s impressive credentials and processes with potential clients. She highlights Hurst’s dedication to making sure the client enjoys the process of remodeling as much as the beautiful results by using interactive media and traditional media alike. Her favorite part of the job is seeing the amazing transformations that have taken place in clients’ homes. When not writing about Hurst, Tamara can be found spending time with her family (at her boys’ sporting events) and friends, volunteering, running, or playing with her dogs.

Dom previously owned his own remodeling business before joining Hurst, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in the remodeling industry. Dom uses his expertise in all facets of remodeling and business management to oversee the day-to-day production activities, ensuring optimum efficiency within the team. Dom also leads the warranty department to make certain every client receives excellent warranty care upon project completion. Dom’s pastimes include golfing, spending time with his family, and helping coach his children’s many sports activities.

Brian is a Certified Professional Lead Carpenter. While attending Cincinnati University studying to become an engineer, Brian spent his summers working in construction. It was then that he discovered his love for the remodeling industry and has since made it his lifelong vocation. Brian brings 10 years of intense field experience as a carpenter and project manager. Many of the projects he has completed have been recognized with awards for their quality craftsmanship and design solutions. When not at work, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys.

His friendly demeanor and attention to detail make him an outstanding Lead Carpenter. Kevin enjoys spending time with his family outdoors, hunting, camping and fishing.

Mike attended Ohio Wesleyan University with a major in Fine Arts. He has an experienced background in construction that started when he was 17 painting elementary schools and later executing exterior renovations for a construction firm. Before coming to Hurst, Mike operated his own successful home improvement and property management company that specialized in residential painting. As a Lead Carpenter, he uses his well-rounded carpentry skills, and talent for art and color, to provide excellent finishes and creative color solutions. Mike enjoys golf, bowling, watching sports and movies, camping, helping coach his daughter’s softball team, and spending time with his girls.

  Mike possesses 18 years of experience in high-level carpentry and cabinet making. Mike’s attention to detail is second to none. It’s not perfect until it’s “Mike Perfect!” His unique craftsmanship and detail-oriented carpentry can turn an ordinary pile of wood into something of exceptional beauty. In his free time, Mike makes custom furniture and enjoys snowboarding and collecting Hot Wheels.

A critical member of our team, Josh has the can-do attitude that gets the job done. His carpentry skills help spaces take shape, while his finishing touches bring rooms to life. Josh dedicates much of his free time as the head coach of the Lakewood Youth Wrestling Program.

  John has been contributing his skills and vision for great spaces to the Hurst team for 11 years, having started by working summers while still in high school. He continued every summer through college and became a full-time team member after graduating from Baldwin Wallace. He is now working toward becoming a small project Lead Carpenter. On the job, he handles both sides of the remodeling process, doing a lot of demolition work as well as playing a key role in making sure the trim and finish of each project is polished and professional. When not on the job, John loves playing sports: softball, kickball and golf are his favorites. But his time for sports has been limited recently, as he just got a new puppy that’s taking up a lot of his time!

Ryan is a graduate of carpentry trade school and is working towards his Carpentry I status for Hurst. Hardworking and always eager to learn, Ryan is a valuable member of the team. As a Carpenter Apprentice, Ryan demolishes, hammers, cuts, spackles, glues, bolts, tapes, lifts, nails, and does pretty much anything else needed on the job as he learns from the carpenters around him. When not working, Ryan can be found fishing, camping or cheering on the Cleveland Browns on game day.
