Dan Hurst Named President of NARI Cleveland

Congratulations to Dan Hurst of Hurst Design Build Remodel who was recently named President of NARI Cleveland. The announcement was made by the Chapter’s Executive Director Kathy Masterson at the NARI Evening of Excellence - Contractor of the Year Awards Dinner.

Hurst said, “I am looking forward to serving as President for the coming two year term. I will work to advance the organization’s important mission and provide enhanced opportunities and benefits for NARI members along the way.”

NARI of Greater Cleveland has been serving the community and its members since 1962. Since that time the organization has evolved and changed along the way. The NARI mission has remained the same; To help professionalize our members through consumer awareness, education, and legislative action, while serving as an ally to the homeowners of Northern Ohio as a reliable remodeling resource for information and advocacy.

Dan took time to thank Mark Maltry of Jemm Construction for serving as board president through all the countless challenges the organization had to face the past two years. “Under his leadership, along with Kathy Masterson, the organization has had to adapt and find new ways to operate while continuing to serve our membership in impactful ways.”

He went on to say “And one thing we have learned with certainty, nothing stays the same. Change is constant, and lately many of us have become experts at adapting to change.

Our industry will face new challenges in the months and years ahead and NARI gives us a chance to face these challenges together. To learn from each other, to network, to adapt and to grow. We are Remodeling Done Right!”

NARI Cleveland provides many benefits to its members and one of Hurst’s goals as President of NARI Cleveland is to grow the organization’s membership and to make it’s offerings even more beneficial to member companies. Just some of the many NARI benefits include networking opportunities, educational events, and connection to remodeling ready consumers with professional remodelers through the Remodeled Homes Tour and NARI Home Improvement Show.

Hurst told the guests at the Evening of Excellence, “The list of advantages to membership will keep expanding as we continue to strengthen our chapter and look for new ways to bring more value. To all those serving on the board or a committee that are helping us move forward - I want to thank you all in advance - together, with Kathy, we will do some great things for NARI and our members.”

“It truly is an honor to be serving as your President and will do everything I can to help make the future of NARI better than ever.”
