How much are tickets? 

Tickets are $50 each. 

How many tickets can I get? 

There is no limit. 

Where can I buy a ticket? 

Tickets can be purchased directly from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at  https://events.lls.org/noh/hurstbathroomraffle 

You must provide all required information to be eligible to enter and win. 

Will I receive a paper ticket? 

Entrants will not receive a paper ticket.  All entries are electronic, and the LLS receipt will be the proof of purchase. Physical tickets are being printed for the drawing, but participants will not receive those.  

When is the Raffle Drawing?

The winning ticket will be selected May 19th at 4pm and will it will be broadcast live on Facebook.

Can I purchase a ticket as a GIFT? 

Yes. Enter the name of the person that you are gifting the ticket to as the recipient.  

What percentage of the proceeds go to LLS? 

100% of the ticket sale proceeds go directly to LLS and their mission to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, Myeloma and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families 

Who is eligible to get tickets and win? 

To be eligible to purchase a ticket, you must be a United States legal resident and at least 18 years. The bathroom must be within 35 miles of the Hurst Design Center at 26185 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, OH 44145. The following persons are not eligible to purchase tickets: Employees of and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and employees of Hurst Design Build Remodel.

What are the odds of winning? 

The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of tickets sold.

Do I have to be present to win? 

No, you don't have to be present to win or have your ticket confirmation with you. 

How do I know if I won? 

We will notify the winner - contacting them via phone and/or email. 

Is there a cash option if I win? 

There is no cash option.  

Can I add the $30,000 toward a larger bathroom remodel project? 

Yes, you can apply the $30,000 prize value to a larger bathroom remodeling project. 

Can I select a room other than a bathroom to remodel? 

No. The prize is specifically for a bathroom remodel featuring Kohler bathroom line of products. 

What are the taxes on the bathroom, and what do I have to do if I win it? 

The IRS requires that taxes on prizes valued greater than $5,000 or other amount as may be determined by Federal Law must be paid by the Winner. Consult with your CPA for specifics.  

2023 Terms & Conditions​ 

Thank you for supporting the Bathroom Raffle for LLS (the "Raffle"), conducted by Hurst Design Build Remodel (“Hurst”) and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (“LLS”). 

Your purchase of one or more raffle ticket(s) signifies your full and unconditional agreement to the following Terms & Conditions. In the event of any dispute, a reasonable interpretation or determination by Hurst Design Build Remodel and LLS regarding the application of these Terms & Conditions is final and binding in all matters related to the Raffle. 

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW AND OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. The chances of winning are based on the number of tickets sold. The goal is for a minimum of 1,500 tickets. ("Minimum Required Tickets"). 

The Winner of the Bathroom Remodel is subject to the terms and conditions stated herein, the acceptance of Hurst Design Build Remodel’s Remodeling Agreement and terms and conditions between Hurst and the Winner.  

Eligibility 

• To be eligible to purchase a ticket, you must be a United States legal resident and at least 18 years old at the date of the entry. The following persons are not eligible to purchase tickets: Employees of Hurst Design Build Remodel and Employees of LLS.
• A ticket purchased by an ineligible person is void and cannot be a winning ticket. No refunds will be made to ineligible purchasers, except at the sole and absolute discretion of Hurst. 
• Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Hurst Design Build Remodel reserves the right to verify the eligibility of winners. 
• The Winner must be the property owner for the bathroom remodel and not a tenant in a rental property owned by others. Proof of ownership must be provided by the Winner.   
• The bathroom must be located on a residential property. The location of the bathroom remodel must be within 35 miles of Hurst Design Build Remodel Design Center at 26185 Center Ridge Rd, Westlake, OH 44145.

• Your receipt will be your ticket and proof of purchase. You will not receive a physical ticket.  
• You must provide all required information to be eligible to enter and win. 
• Tickets may be purchased for $50 each. 
• A ticket represents a chance to win the opportunity to accept an offer of the stated prize. All sales of tickets are final, and no refunds will be paid. 
• Tickets, prizes, receipts, and any winner's rights are not transferable. 
• Sponsor reserves the right to reject any ticket purchase that is submitted with payment that does not constitute "good funds." 
• All ticket purchases must be received and/or purchased by the indicated deadline of May 18th. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or non-delivered mail, email, or any other failure to receive receipts prior to the drawing deadlines.  
• By purchasing a ticket, you (I) agree to receive future texts and emails regarding the Bathroom Raffle event only. The Sponsors (we) do not sell or rent the Bathroom Raffle email or phone lists.  

Bathroom Rules  

Winner Acknowledges the following; 

• The prize only applies to a bathroom remodel and cannot be redeemed or applied to any other project or area.  
• Hurst reserves the right to determine the timeframe for performing the work that fits within the Hurst schedule.  
• Bathroom will enter the Hurst design process where the Winner will be able to make decisions on the design of their bathroom. Hurst will perform an inspection and create a design plan for the Winner to be executed with the Hurst Build team.   
• Maximum size of the bathroom is 75 Square Feet.  
• The products that will be used for the project will be manufactured and provided by Kohler. Bathroom Remodel will include Up To 4 plumbing fixture bathroom. (2) Lavatory Sinks/Faucets, (1) Toilet, (1) Shower Stall with Shower Faucet, OR (1) Tub with shower surround with Tub/Shower Faucet, (1) Glass Enclosure OR Curtain Rod, (1) Vanity Unit with quartz top up to 60”, (2) Mirrored Medicine Cabinets, (2) Vanity Lights and Bathroom Accessories.   
• The bathroom will include the replacement of all the plumbing and electrical fixtures within their existing locations. Removal of all the existing finishes. Installation of new LVP Flooring, Interior Trim, Sherwin Williams Emerald Paint, Panasonic Exhaust Fan vented to the exterior, replacement of all electrical devices to applicable code. 
• Excludes structural changes or repairs, plumbing fixture reconfigurations, electrical service or panel upgrades, any work in areas outside of the bathroom.  
• In the event the bathroom to be remodeled chosen by the Winner is larger than 75 Square Feet and had a larger scope of work than what is included, the value of the bathroom raffle of $30,000 will be applied to the bathroom to be remodeled.  

The Drawing 

The winning ticket for the Bathroom Raffle prize will be selected by a random drawing on May 19th, 2023. Hurst Design Build Remodel and a Representative from LLS will draw the winning ticket from the eligible raffle tickets on a live broadcast on Hurst Design Build Remodel’s Facebook Page. All tickets have an equal chance to win. Ticket purchasers need not be present to win. 

Winners 

• The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of valid raffle tickets sold as of the date of any drawing. 
• Each prize will be awarded to only one (1) winner. If the ticket has more than one name on it, the prize will be awarded to the eligible individual whose name appears first on the ticket. That individual is solely responsible for allocating the value of the prize among the purchasers. 
• Hurst Design Build Remodel and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will notify the winner in writing by sending a Winner Notification Agreement ("WNA" by certified U.S. mail, return receipt requested, to the mailing address provided by the purchaser. The winner must accept the prize, "as is," by signing the WNA and returning it to Hurst Design Build Remodel at 21685 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, OH 44145 within seven (7) days after the date the WNA was received (the "Acceptance Time Period"). If a winner cannot be contacted by certified mail or fails to accept the prize within the Acceptance Time Period or if a winner is disqualified for any reason, the prize is forfeited, and no substitute or alternative prize will be provided. A forfeited prize may be awarded to an alternate winner selected by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. An alternate winner shall be selected one day after the Acceptance Time Period expires. The alternate winner then shall have the same Acceptance Time Period to claim the prize.  
• By purchasing a ticket or accepting a ticket as a gift constitutes permission for the Sponsors (Hurst, Kohler, and LLS) to use the winner's name, picture, video, relevant quotes, and images of the design and completed bathroom project for promotional advertisement without further authorization from the Winner and no compensation to the Winner. 
• The winner of the raffle shall have no rights in or to the prize itself until the winner has been verified as eligible by the Sponsor, has timely executed the WNA and returned it to Hurst, and until the delivery of the prize to the winner has been completed.  Until that time, as between the Sponsor and the winner, the prize remains the sole property of the Sponsors.  
• Verification of Potential Winners: ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY HURST and LLS, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE RAFFLE. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL ENTRANT'S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE. 

Taxes/Prize Restrictions 

• All applicable federal, state, and local taxes and all fees and expenses related to acceptance and use of prize not specifically stated herein, are the responsibility solely of winner. Prize cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash; however, Hurst reserves the right to make equivalent product substitutions at its sole discretion. Hurst will not replace any lost or stolen prizes or components of a prize(s). Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer. Only the Bathroom Raffle stated in these Official Rules is available to be won in the Raffle. 
• The value of each prize is includible in the winner's gross income and may be subject to reporting by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to the Internal Revenue Service. Each winner is solely responsible for payment of all federal, state, and/or local income, sales, or use taxes due on account of his or her acceptance of the prize. The winner assumes all fees, local, state, and federal taxes (including but not limited to income taxes based on the value of the bathroom). The winner of the Bathroom agrees that the value of the bathroom will be based on Hurst standard pricing model for a bathroom project, which will include design, materials, and labor and the Sponsors typical overhead and profit. 
• With respect to any prize with a value of more than $5,000 or other amount as may be determined by Federal Law, the Internal Revenue Service. The value of the prize may require the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to withhold federal income tax at the rate of 24%, or current rate as established by the IRS. If the Winner is awarded the Bathroom Remodel or other tangible item, the winner must pay the amount of, and tax required by applicable law. Sponsors takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities. Winners should consult a tax professional.
