Hurst Design-Build-Remodeling Receives 2014 Contractor of the Year Awards
The Cleveland Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry Recognizes Hurst
Cleveland, OH, The Cleveland Chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) recently announced the recipients of the Contractor of the Year (CotY) awards. Northeast Ohio based Hurst Design-Build-Remodeling received three of the prestigious awards. The firm was selected for projects in Cleveland’s eastside neighborhoods: including a unique rustic design for a home addition in Pepper Pike and a dramatic master bath and kitchen renovation for a family home in Moreland Hills, Ohio.
“We are very proud to have been a part of these two unique home renovation projects,” said Pat Hurst, co-owner of Hurst Remodeling and the firm’s lead designer. “Our design team and certified remodelers work with each client to understand their vision, share ideas, and create a plan that can exceed expectations. These homes turned out beautifully with great functionality and a reflection of each homeowner’s style and personality.
The first of the two recognized projects was a kitchen and bath remodel for a client who now owns her childhood home in Moreland Hills. The client wanted to maintain the character and classic style of the home she loved while updating the kitchen and master bath. The kitchen and bath were original to the 1955 home and with some innovative architectural and design ideas the style and functionality of both spaces changed dramatically. The project won first place in the bathroom remodel category and a runner up award for the kitchen remodel.
Hurst received another first place CotY award in the home addition category for a dramatic master suite addition to a Pepper Pike home. The homeowner’s eclectic style and love of nature needed to be incorporated. That desire was reflected in each element with many finished pieces hand created by the Hurst team. The project resulted in a natural spa-like environment created with the homeowner’s vision in mind each step of the way.
These projects will be considered for regional and national Contractor of the Year awards early in 2015. Hurst Design-Build Remodeling is an award winning firm started in 1997 by brothers Dan and Pat Hurst. The firm specializes in innovative design solutions and expert craftsmanship.
